Seeing Children as They ARE
Have you ever wondered why a specific person became a doctor, or a lawyer, a teacher, a painter, or maybe a journalist? What or who inspired them to push to be what they are today?
Like most moms, my inspiration for picking up my camera was and will always be my children. I remember singing to Owen while changing his diaper at 3 weeks old and then pausing again when he was 10 weeks old and realizing how much of his features had shifted, how much of his personality was starting to emerge! It was in those quiet, ordinary moments that God was planting a seed, a gift wrapped in photography.
For me it started with my children and the same drive in photography continues to grow as I photograph children of all ages. In 2022, I launched “Fine Art School Portraits” in my photography services. The heart behind this addition was the desire to give other parents, like me, the quality image but more importantly the connection with the students that produced who that student is at that specific moment in time!
Fine Art Portraits is a way to honor the now with our children. Each private gallery includes both color and black-and-white images, typically ranging from five to ten photographs that span traditional portraits to more artistic angles that reflect each student’s individuality. My documentary style of photography offers more variety to the parents. Prints Available with MMP
By intentionally focusing on the now my main goal with my camera is to connect quickly with each student. We are all created so beautifully differently and seeing the students just as they are gives me the creative space to connect with each one with a purpose. From preschool ages to high seniors and all the amazing ages in between my services are a wonderful fit for all schools in Leon County Schools and surrounding areas.
